The bowl is made from American Maple wood. It is 9 inches by 7 inches. The wood was like steel to cut and I had thrown it into the garbage twice and each time retrieved it. Linda for some reason wanted it and liked it. The platter stand was made from a picture I saw in the American Wood Turners magazine, February issue. It works.

I
made two finials to go on top of Linda’s lamp. One ended up being too
large and now is an ornament onto itself. The smaller one is now in
use. Linda did a very good job of painting the latter one. She
combined colors. The lamp shade is very important to Linda that goes
with this finial. linda’s Brother now deceased make the lamp shade. He
also was a very talented artist that worked with many mediums.
