Just finished making a nice Oak serving plate and two boxes.  Linda does not like  me adding on the plastic to a box and I will discontinue doing it.   I agree with her that it detracts from the wood.  Gary

This tall vase is made from a large scrap of Carob wood.  I tried a variation in design I hope to good effect. 

I made two new bowls. The top Cypress bowl required special cuts with my gouges.  Gary

Just completed a new bowl made from raffle wood.  I colored the inside with green stain and the outside with yellow stain.  Linda likes enough to have filled it with items on the kitchen counter.  Gary

Finished turnning and painting this large yellow bowl this week.  Linda picked the color and it goes with the color of the bananas.  Gary

Just made this bowl.  The stepped design are new to me.  Linda likes it being different. 

I make two tops and a holder for them to spin in.  The top to the right spins the longest. 

 This last week has been productive regarding wood turning. Finished turned a vase and bowl. The large item is a broad-rimmed platter 14 inches, acacia wood.  

Just finished this last week two bowls and a blue box.  The larger bowl is made of Sweet Gum. 

Just finished todayd with a new coffee cup box with fumes added to the top.  Collabortive with Linda.  She bent the wire. 

Just finished a new bowl made from a yoke of a tree where a branch joined the base of a tree.  Linda likes the base which I did in steps.  Stained brown.

I just completed this set of five flower holders in different shapes, colors.  They are made of ash wood. Gary

New blue colored bowl.  I am trying to do more carving and figure painting.  Linda likes it. 

These Sweet Gum pieces did not want to cooperate to become flower holders.

March 3, 2018.  The bowl to the right is made of liquid amber.  The two to the left are from Tipu Wood.  I stained all three. 

Just finished making a large bowl 5 3/4 by 11 1/2 inches made from TIPU.  Linda made a beautiful design around it.

I made a new bowl from the very hard wood TPU.  I used a flower template and burnt the design in and colored them.  Gary

I am enjoying experimenting with color stains on some of my turnings.  This bowl has three different colored stains on it.
